The Chartered Insurance Institute of Great Britain and Ireland (CII) is
one of the largest and most influential organizations in the global insurance
and financial services industries today.
With some 70,000 practicing members, the CII has a strong
presence in over 120 countries and long-term affiliations with more than 60
institutes around the world.
For over one hundred years the CII has been at the forefront
in setting professional standards for the insurance industry. Today its
education and qualification framework supports personal and professional
development for the insurance and financial services industries, on an
international basis.
The CII delivers world class standards of education and
support to practitioners at every stage of their professional and personal
development. This ensures that CII graduates are appropriately qualified
for and effective and successful career in the increasingly competitive and
continually expanding insurance and financial services markets.
CII signed an agreement with the Insurance Institute of
America and the Insurance Institute of Canada on January 1, 1997, to establish
the Institute for Global Insurance Education.
